$i .) 4 x^{2} + 6 x^{2} + 12 x$ by $2 x$

$4 x^{3} + 6 x^{2} + 12 x = 2 x (2 x^{2} + 3 x + 6)$

Dividing above expression by 2x gives $2 x^{2} + 3 x + 6$

$i i .) 4 a^{3} + 8 a + 20 a^{2}$ by $4 a$

$4 a^{3} + 8 a + 20 a^{2} = 4 a (a^{2} + 5 a + 2)$

Dividing above expression by 4a gives $a^{2} + 5 a + 2$ .
