Divide $Rs6000$ into two parts so that the simple interest on the first part for $2$ years at $6\%$ per annum is equal to the simple interest on the second part for $3$ years at $8\%$ per annum.

Let the two parts be $x$ ans $6000-x$

Simple interest $=\frac{\text{principle}\times \text{rate}\times \text{time}}{100}$

$\Rightarrow \frac{x\left(6\right)\left(2\right)}{100}=\frac{(6000-x)\left(8\right)\left(3\right)}{100}$

$\Rightarrow x=12000-2x$

$\Rightarrow 3x=12000$

$\Rightarrow x=4000$

To parts are $Rs.4000,2000$
