a.15000 RS between Ram and Karthik in the ratio 4:11

Given,
Total amount = 15000
Let the amout given to Ram and Karthik be 4x and 11x.
Then,
Total amount = 4x+11x = 15x.

So,
15x = 15000
x = 1000
So Ram has 4x= 4000 Rs and Karthik has 11x= 11000 Rs.

b)
Given,
Total amount= 34000

Let Shobha, Uma and Roshan has 8y, 2y and 7y Rs respectively.

Total=8y+2y+7y = 17y

So,
17y = 34000
y = 2000 Rs.

So shobha has 8y= 16000 Rs, Uma has 2y=4000 Rs and Roshan has 7y= 14000 Rs.
