We divide x2+5x+10 by (x+3) as shown in the above image:

From the division, we observe that the quotient is x+2 and the remainder is 4.

We know that the division algorithm states that:
Dividend=Divisor×Quotient+Remainder

We apply the division algorithm to check the answer as follows:

Dividend=Divisor×Quotient+Remainderx2+5x+10=[(x+3)(x+2)]+4x2+5x+10=(x2+2x+3x+6)+4x2+5x+10=x2+5x+6+4x2+5x+10=x2+5x+10Henceverified.
