Question

Diya took two beakers for electricity experiment. When she connected the circuit with first beaker as shown in P, bulb starts glowing. Now she connected the circuit with second beaker, as shown in Q, bulb did not glow. To remove her confusion she again performed the experiment with first beaker and she found that the bulb is glowing. For the observation of second beaker Q, what is reason behind such observation?

The bulb glows when she connected the circuit with the first beaker, P. So we can say the circuit is absolutely fine.
Since the bulb does not glow when the circuit is connected to Q, we can say the circuit is not complete. This can only happen when the liquid is Q is not an electrolyte.
