Animal cells have may similarities in them. However, due to the requirements of different organs, we have differentiated cells. For instance, if we think about Neurons, they differ from normal cells as they have long extensions, such as dendrites and axons, which help in them getting the nervous impulses from the surroundings and transfer them through the Axon. A normal animal cell will consist of a defined nucleus, along with a host of organelles such as the Endoplasmic Reticulum, Ribosomes, Golgi Apparatus, and so forth. However, some cells in the human body, such as RBC's (they do not have a nucleus), WBC's (Have lysosomes to destroy the pathogens) Neurons (Extended Plasma Membrane in the form of Axons), Sperm Cells (Have flagellum to propel them in the medium) Adipose Cells (Large reserves to store the extra Fat molecules) are specialised, in order to achieve their intended function.
