Do both Lithium and Magnesium form soluble bicarbonates?
If yes, why does lithium form bicarbonate, despite its size being much smaller than size of bicarbonate?

yes both form soluble bicarbonates...though lithium size is small , it behaves similar to magnesium as they both exhibit diagonal relationship.
