  5. Its length is 10-12 cm and is divided into three sections: infundibulum, ampulla, and isthmus.
  6. Infundibulum is funnel-shaped and is closer to the ovary.
  7. It receives the ovum at the time of ovulation.
  8. Ampulla is the wider, middle part of the oviduct, fertilization occurs in the ampullary region.
  9. Isthmus is the part closer to the uterus.
  10. It has a narrow lumen.
