Solution

Lenticels:

Functions of lenticels:

  1. Transpiration is the mechanism through which water vapor is lost through the stomata of plants.
  2. They allow oxygen to enter while also allowing carbon dioxide and water vapor to exit.
  3. Lenticels account for up to 22% of transpiration in apple fruit.
