do nodules have any useful functions for plants

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student

Rhizobium is a bacteria present in soil. It interacts with the roots of leguminous plants like pea and gram to form root nodules. These root nodules are the sites for nitrogen fixation where the bacteria convert atmospheric nitrogen into ammonia so that the plant can easily utilize it.
