Do sperms need mitochondria? What is its role?
Sperm:
Sperm is usually small, compact cell or gamete, a male reproductive cell in anisogamous forms of sexual reproduction for fertilizing a female egg. It is manufactured in seminiferous tubules in each testicle.
Mitochondria:
It is a double-layered membrane-bound organelle. They are found in eukaryotic organisms. Mitochondria generate ATP for aerobic respiration, which is subsequently used throughout the cell as a source of chemical energy.
