Question

Do you think Mendel’s laws of inheritance would have been different if the characters that he chose were located on the same chromosome?

Solution

If the characters were located on some chromosomes, then the results could have been entirely different. This was seen by Morgan’s experiments on Drosophila. He observed that the phenotype in the F1 generation was in a different ratio than what was observed by Mendel. This happened because the characters were located on the same chromosome.
