  • Give two-three features how and under whose aegis did it develop.
Solution:
  • Guru Ram Das ji started with the Masand system which was the representation of the house of Guru to local Sangat. Usually, the common problems of the Sangat were resolved.
  • Guru Arjan Dev ji further strengthened the Masand system. He exhorted the Masands to gather offerings from Sikhs which was to be one-tenth of the income. This amount was called Daswandh. Over and above this Daswandh, the Masands propagated the Guru’s teachings.
