Vapour pressure is hardly influenced by the atmospheric pressure because we ignore the intermolecular forces of ideal vapours.
When we discuss real gas, then the intermolecular attraction like attractive or repulsive force in the molecules makes count and then we include intermolecular forces in vapour phase.
