Caffeine:

  1. It is a natural stimulant belonging to the methylxanthine class.
  2. Caffeine intake during pregnancy and preconception periods is harmful.
  3. 300 milligrams or less of caffeine is safe during the pre-conception period.
  4. Studies show that exposure to caffeine not only disrupts embryo implantation but also disrupts foetal growth. It can cause miscarriage.
