Question

Does constant force mean no acceleration?

Open in App
Solution

Explanation:

Constant force means no acceleration are as follow:

  1. If a force applied to an object does not change with respect to time, it is known as a constant force.
  2. A constant force helps to maintain the constant speed of an object and allows an object to exhibit uniform motion.
  3. Uniform motion is a type of motion that occurs when either the distance traveled by the object is the same for each second (constant speed).
  4. Zero acceleration is an acceleration, just with zero magnitudes. Motion with constant velocity is just a special case of motion with uniform (i.e. zero) acceleration.

Hence, constant force means there is no acceleration.
