Does DNA replication occur in both directions or only one? Is there any difference between DNA replication in prokaryotes and eukaroytes?

Solution

DNA replication occurs unidirectionally as well as bidirectionally. In prokaryotes, DNA replication is bidirectional but in case of eukaryotes, it is unidirectional. So main difference between eukaryotic and prokaryotic DNA replication is unidirectinal and bidirectional mode of replication respectively.
