Does electricity gets absorbed in a resistor. If no how does a battery stop working later

Open in App
Solution

No, electricity is not absorbed in a resistor, but gets transformed into heat energy.
Electricity is a form of energy which can only be converted from one form to another.
A battery stops working after some time if the energy stored in it all used up.
This can be due to connecting a light, which takes electric energy and convert into light energy hence decresing the energy of the battery and finally lead to the death of battery.
