And
Predecessor : The predecessor of a whole number is one less than the given number.
So,
Predecessor of 1 is = 1 - 1 = 0
And
Predecessor of 2 is = 2 - 1 = 1
And
Predecessor of 0 = 0 - 1 = - 1 , but that is not a whole number .
