Solution
Cellular respiration:
Cellular respiration is defined as the process of combining oxygen with food in form of glucose, converting the chemical energy in the foodstuff into life-sustaining activities, and eliminating waste products in form of carbon dioxide and water.
The energy produced in cellular respiration is in the form of adenosine triphosphate (ATP).
When cellular respiration takes place in presence of oxygen, it is termed aerobic respiration.
Hence, during cellular respiration glucose reacts with oxygen.
