Open in App
Solution

Guttation is loss of liquid water at the margin of the leaves through special pores called hydathodes. It occurs when root pressure is high. Root pressure is high when evaporation is low, i e. temperature is low. It occurs at night and in early morning. Transpiration on the other hand is highest at mid-day.
