Solution

Dear Student,

Greenhouse gases trap heat from the sun to maintain Earth's warmth. Nitrogen gas is not a greenhouse gas, but oxides of Nitrogen such as nitrous oxide and other forms of nitrogen such as ammonia are greenhouse gases.
Nitrogen gas cannot capture infrared light from the sun and hence is not a greenhouse gas.
