Does pineal gland regulates adrenal and pituitary gland

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student

Pineal gland does not regulate these glands.
The pituitary gland consists of two parts- Anterior lobe and Posterior lobe. Pituitary is under the control of hypothalamus. The hypothalamus sends the signals to the pituitary to release or inhibit the pituitary hormone production. In turn pituitary acts on all other glands such as thyroid, adrenal to release or inhibit the hormone production.
