Question

does presence of air affect friction acting on a object in anyways??and what if there was no air resistance at all

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student

Air resistance is a force similar to frictional force which is offered due to air on moving bodies. It slows down the moving bodies by providing an opposing force to the motion. It depends on the relative speed of the moving bodies.
Had there be no air resistance, the opposing force to relative motion of bodies moving in air would not be present.
