Question
Does rhizobium show symbiosis?
Open in App
Solution
Rhizobium:
A bacteria called rhizobium is found in soil and aids in the nitrogen fixation process in leguminous plants.
It grows nodules and affixes to the leguminous plant's roots.
A relationship or interaction between two separate creatures that live in a similar habitat is referred to as symbiosis.
Rhizobium forms a link with its host plant which allows it to fix nitrogen.
During this time, nodules form on plant roots, where microorganisms convert atmospheric nitrogen into ammonia.
