Dear student,
Yes, stomata remain closed during night. It is explain as :-
Stomata are the structure that are meant for gaseous or water exchange. Its opening ang closing are regulated by guard cells. Stomata is open in day time and closed during night due to photosynthesis. At day time, in presence of sunlight, plants need carbon dioxide to perform photosynthesis, hence stomata is open so that it can release oxygen and gains up carbon dioxide. During night, there is no sunlight and hence stomata is closed to prevent loss of water and gases.
