Open in App
Solution

Stomach:

  1. The stomach is a muscular tissue on the upper abdomen's left side.
  2. Humans only have one stomach anatomically.
  3. It receives food from the esophagus and performs its job.
  4. When food reaches the end of the esophagus, it passes through a muscle valve known as the lower oesophageal sphincter and into the stomach.
  5. The stomach then creates fluids and enzymes that aid in the digestion of food.
  6. The upper stomach muscle relaxes to let food into the stomach, while the lower muscle blends the meal with the digestive liquid.
  7. The stomach gradually releases its contents, known as chyme, into the small intestine.
