Hydrosphere is derived from two Greek words, hydor, means water and sphaira that means sphere. It is defined as the total combined mass of water that is present on the earth's surface, in its underground part and even in the air. The word hydro, itself means water, so hydrosphere consist of water only. This water may be present in the form of liquid, vapour or ice.
