Question

does the inertia apply more force with more mass

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student ,
Always remember that mass of a body is constant and inertia is the prevention of any physical object to any change in its motion , that is speed , direction , state of rest , it is the tendency of objects to keep moving in a straight line at constant velocity .
Now force = mass × acceleration
Again acceleration is change of velocity with time but here velocity remains constant in case of inertia.
Therefore inertia never applies more force nor with more mass .
