Does transpiration take place in flowers

Transpiration is the evaporation of water from plants. It occurs mostly at the leaves while their stomata (small pores on the underside of leaves) are open for the movement of CO2 and O2 during photosynthesis. It can also occur in flowers and stems.

Floral parts, as petals and sepals, have stomata, and transpire just like a normal leaf or a primary stem (that is, a stem covered by epidermis, not periderm). And, besides stomatal transpiration, flowers have cuticular transpiration, like most of structures covered by epidermis.
