Question

Does vasoconstriction or vasodilation lower blood pressure ?

Open in App
Solution

Vasoconstriction is the action when the blood vessels constrict thus the blood flow is reduced leading to increase in blood pressure. The reverse happens in vasodilation that is the blood vessels relax causing increase in the blood flow hence reducing blood pressure .
Hence Vasodilation lowers the blood pressure and not Vasoconstriction.
