Draw a circle of radius 3.5 cm. Mark s point P outside the circle at a distance of 6 cm from the centre, construct two tangents from P to the given circle. Measure and write down the length of one tangent.

Step for constructions:
(i) Draw a circle of radius 3.5 cm with centre O.
(ii) Take a point P outside the circle such that OP = 6 cm.
(iii) Draw perpendicular bisector of OP which intersects OP t Q.
(iv) Draw a circle of radius OQ and centre Q which cut the given circle at A and B.
(v) Join P to A and B to get the required tangents PA and PB.
(vi) Measure the length of tangents PA = PB = 4.5 cm
