Draw a circle of radius 3.6cm. In the circle, draw a chord AB=5cm. Now shade the minor segment of the circle.

Step 1: Drawing a circle of radius 3.6 cm
  • Mark a point O and measure distance equal to 3.6 cm on compass with the help of a ruler.
  • Now, put the pointed end of the compass at O and trace the circle.

Step 2: Drawing chord AB
  • Mark a point A on the circumference of the circle.
  • Measure distance equal to 5cm on the compass with the help of a ruler.
  • Put the pointed end of the compass on point A and make an arc which intersect circle at point B (say).
Step 3 : Shading the minor segment of the circle.
  • After shading the major segment of the circle, we will get,
