  • Draw a line segment of 1.5cm distance between centres r2r1
r2r1=4.52.5=2.0cm
  • Draw circles of radius 4.5cm and 2.5cm taking centres A and B respectively
  • Take the point of contact of two circles as P
  • Draw perpendicular at point P taking AP as base.
The perpendicular XX is the direct common tangent to two circle.
