The graph of radioactive decay can be shown with Decay Rate against total number of nuclei in the array. The formula is given as,
Δ NΔ T=−λ N
Δ NΔ T is the rate of decay of the nucleus with respect to time,
λ is the decay rate constant of the nucleus
N is the number of nuclei present in the array.
The graph between decay rate and active number of nuclei is decreasing graph showing decay rate decreasing with time and the decreasing slope is denoted by decay rate constant λ.
