- Fertilisation of the ovum by the sperm takes place in the oviduct.
- Oviducts from other end open into a bag-like structure called uterus where the embryo grows into a baby.
- The uterus has a narrow opening called cervix connected to another tube called vagina which opens to the outside of the body.
- Vagina receives sperms through the penis of males during copulation and passes the sperms towards the oviduct for fertilisation.
