Solution
Answer:
Ovaries are the female reproductive organs that produce the ova or the eggs in females along with the secretion of oestrogen and progesterone.
Each ovary is composed of several thousand follicles which at puberty mature to prepare ova for fertilisation.
Just above the ovaries are the tubes called oviducts which through funnel-shaped openings collect the ovum released by ovary.
Fertilisation of the ovum by the sperm takes place in the oviduct.
Oviducts from other end open into a bag-like structure called uterus where the embryo grows into a baby.
The uterus has a narrow opening called cervix connected to another tube called vagina which opens to the outside of the body.
Vagina receives sperms through the penis of males during copulation and passes the sperms towards the oviduct for fertilisation.
