The different parts of a flower:
Pedicel: It is the stalk of a flower.
Sepals or calyx: The outermost whorl or covering of a flower is known as calyx and its units are known as sepals.
Petals or corolla: It is present next to the calyx, which is a colorful whorl that assists in attracting insects for the process of pollination. Petals are the units of the corolla.
Stamen: It is the male reproductive part of the flower. Each stamen comprises an anther and a long filament, the anther comprises pollen grains.
Pistil or carpel: It produces the female reproductive part of the flower. Each pistil or flower comprises three parts, that is, style, stigma, and a basal inflamed part known as the ovary.
