Question

Draw a line AB=8.4cm. Now draw a circle with AB as diameter.
Mark a point C on the circumference of the circle. Measure angle ACB.

Step 1: Drawing a line AB of 8.4cm and drawing its perpendicular bisector.
  • Draw a line segment AB of length 8.4cm with the help of a ruler.
  • With distance more than half of AB and taking centers as A and B draw arcs on both side of line AB.
  • Join the points of intersection of arcs and at the point where this line intersects AB name it as O.
Step 2: Drawing a circle with AB as diameter
  • Put the pointed end of the compass on O and the tip of the pencil on A and B and trace the circle.
Step 3: Drawing triangle ABC and measuring ACB
  • Mark a point C on the circle. Join C to A and C to B.
Measuring angle ACB with the help of the protractor, we get that, ACB=90.
