Draw a line $CD$ parallel to given line $AB$ at a distance of $5.5cm$ form it.

Answer 1

(i) Draw a line $AB$ of any length.

(ii) Now, draw two perpendiculars on the line $AB$ namely $PE$ and $QF$.

(iii) With radius $5.5cm$ and $P$ as centre, cut an arc of length $5.5cm$ at $R$. Similarly, repeat the process to obtain point $S$ on $QF$.

(iv) Join $RS$ and extend on either sides.

(v) We have obtained $CD\parallel AB$ at a distance of $5.5cm$
