Step 1: Draw a line segment of $7\mathrm{cm}$, and Draw a ray, $\mathrm{AX}$, making an acute angle downward with $\mathrm{AB}$

Step 2: Mark the points $A_1,A_2,A_3\dots ......A_8$ on AX , Then Mark the points such that$A{A}_1=A_1{A}_2=A_2{A}_3=\dots ..,A_7{A}_8$

Step 3: Join $B{A}_8$.

Step 4: Draw a line parallel to $B{A}_8$ through the point $A_3$, to meet AB on P

Hence, $AP:PB=3:5$.
