Solution

About Rectangle: All angles are right angle

two sides are like,i.e. length are equal

other two sides are of same measure i.e breadth

Steps:

1) Draw a line AB of 6 cm.

2) Draw ABX=900

3) with B as centre and radius as 4.5 cm draw an arc cutting the ray BX at C

4) with C as centre and radius as 6 cm draw an arc

5) with A as centre and radius as 4.5 cm draw an arc cutting the previous arc at D

6) Join AD and CD

Here, ABCD is the required rectangle.

And area of rectangle = Length × Breadth
= 6×4.5=27
