There are many differences between the two concepts.
1. Latitudes are divided on a north-south basis. Longitudes are divided on a east west basis.
2. There are 180 latitudes while there are 360 longitudes.
3. Latitudes measure distance from equator while longitudes measure distance from the prime meridian.
