Question

Draw an angle of measure 45˚ and bisect it.

Open in App
Solution

  • Draw a line PQ.
  • Take a point O on it.
  • Taking O as centre and a convenient radius, draw an arc which intersects PQ at you points A and B.
  • Taking A and B as centres and radius more than half of AB, draw two arcs which intersect each other at C.
  • Join O and C.
  • Then ∠COQ is an angle of 90˚.
  • Take a convenient radius and draw the arcs from point D and A which intersect at E.
  • Draw OE as bisector of ∠COQ.
  • Thus ∠EOQ = 45˚
  • Now we have obtained ∠EOQ = 45˚.
  • Take a convenient radius and draw the arcs from point F and A which intersect at G..
  • Draw OG as bisector of ∠EOQ.
  • Thus ∠GOQ = 22.5˚
