Stamen:
The flower is a special structure that has male and female sex organs which contain the male and female gametes.
The important function of flowers is to reproduce with the help of fusion of gametes.
The androecium is the male reproductive part of the flower.
It consists of units that are known as stamens.
There are two parts in each stamen - The Anther and Filament.
The anthers produce small spherical hairy structures called the pollen grains where the male gametes are stored.
