Question

Draw any rectangle WZYZ.

Open in App
Solution

Steps of construction :

(1) Draw a line segment WX of any length.
(2) At W, draw PWX = 90° and at X, draw QXW = 90° (since each angle in a rectangle is of 90°)
(3) Taking W as centre, draw an arc of radius less than the radius of WX, which intersects PW at Z.
(4) Taking X as centre and with the same radius, draw an arc that intersects QX at Y.
(5) Join Z and Y.
The required rectangle WXYZ is thus drawn.
