Steps of construction of median $BE$ in a $\Delta ABC$:

(i)First let us construct a $\Delta ABC$ with suitable lengths of sides.
(ii) Construct the perpendicular bisector of the side $AC$ to find the midpoint $E$ of $AC$.
(iii). Now join the vertex $B$ and midpoint $E$ of $AC$
Therefore, $BE$ is median of $\Delta ABC$.
