Draw the graph of $equation2y+x=7$ and$2x+y=8$ on the same co-ordination system . Write the pt of intersection.

Writing the given equations in standard form :

$\therefore 2y+x=7$

$\Rightarrow \frac{y}{7/2}+\frac{x}{7}=1$

so y intercept will be 7/2 = 3.5

and x intercept will be 7

$2x+y=8$

$\Rightarrow \frac{x}{4}+\frac{y}{8}=1$

so y inetrcept will be 8

x inetrcept will be 4

finding point of intersection :

$2y+x=7$

$x=7-2y$ ... (1)

$2x+y=8$

from equation (1)

$2(7-2y)+y=8$

$14-4y+y=8$

$3y=6$

$y=2$

$\therefore x=3$
