The given equation is y = 5x - 3.
Putting x = 0, we get y = (5 × 0) - 3 = -3
Putting x = 1, we get y = (5 × 1) - 3 = 2
Thus, we have the following table:
x 0 1
y -3 2


On a graph paper, draw the lines X'OX and YOY' as the x-axis and y-axis, respectively.
Now, plot the points A(0,-3) and B(1,2) on the graph paper.
Join AB and extend it on both sides.
Thus, line AB is the required graph of the equation, y = 5x - 3.
