The given quadratic equation is y=(x+2)(2−x). When we substitute different values of x in the equation y=(x+2)(2−x) then value of y changes accordingly.
When x=0 then
y=(0+2)(2−0)=2×2=4
The point is (0,4)
When x=1 then
y=(1+2)(2−1)=3×1=3
The point is (1,3)
When x=−1 then
y=(−1+2)(2−(−1))=1×3=3
The point is (−1,3)
Hence, the coordinates are (0,4), (1,3) and (−1,3)and the graph of the quadratic equation y=(x+2)(2−x) is as shown in the graph.
