Let y = f(x) or, y=x3.
The values of y for various values of x are given in the following table:
x-4-3-2-1 0 1 2 34
y=x3. -64 -27 -8 -1 01 827 64
Thus, the curve y=x3 passes through the points (- 4,- 64), (- 3, - 27), (- 2, - 8), (-1, - 1), (0, 0), (1,1), (2, 8), (3,27), (4, 64) etc.
Plotting these points on a graph paper and drawing a free hand curve passing through these points, we obtain the graph of the given polynomial as shown in Figure.
